How many of us would claim to be hungry during a work shift, looking forward to your next break to get something to nibble on? How many of us, when dinner is delayed by a half-hour think, "I'm starving!" We are loathe to skip a meal yet when it comes to spending time with God and building that relationship with Him, we can often skip the equivalent of 3 meals so easily! Why is that? Jesus makes a promise to His followers. Hunger and thirst for righteousness, do this, and you will be filled. You will be satisfied. There's a lot of dissatisfaction out there, isn't there? Wouldn't it be nice to live a life of contentment and peace no matter what is happening to others around us? Join us as we unwrap this beatitude and grapple with what may be our lack of hunger and thirst for God who is our bread and our source of living water, spiritually speaking.
