Hello everyone and welcome to a new video! In the never ending quest to expand my wardrobe with clothes I actually want to wear, I picked up this vintage Vogue sewing pattern some time ago. It has a stamp that dates it to 1958 and it's a simple gathered blouse, giving those 'peasant' top vibes. The pattern has two views: one with long gathered sleeves, and one with short puffed sleeves. I chose the longer sleeves for extra swoosh and drama. The pattern is very simple, and I will include more detailed photos of the pattern in my Patreon, in case you are interested! You can check it out here: / catscostumery I originally bought 2 meters of this linen-look cotton fabric. I had a fair bit left over in odd scraps. I also needed over a meter of thin elastic. Overall, it's a super cute blouser, very comfortable, and it can be worn with the neckline up or off the shoulder. It can look really cute by itself or with other items, I plan on wearing it with a dress I'm currently making. Maybe I could make a how to style it video with different outfits? (not sure my wardrobe is there yet lol). Anyway, this was a super easy, straight forward build, even though I babbled on for 20 minutes, I think it's definitely beginner friendly, and can very easily be done by hand if you don't have a machine. It also doesn't require a lot of fabric, especially if you're making the shorter sleeves, so it was also pretty affordable!
