Diving Vivian | UK Dive Site Guide | Vivian Slate Mine a PADI Scuba Diving Centre with Clare Dutton

We made this video shortly after Wales came out of the Corona Virus lockdown period to highlight the site and show off the fantastic scenery that surrounds Vivian. We met Clare and her mum Jean on arrival and were made to feel very welcome with a quick walk around and explaination of where to park, store kit and enter and exit the water. Vivian Dive Site is an old slate quarry, located in the stunning Snowdonia, Llanberris. The site offers fantastic visibility all year around, as unlike most dive sites, there is little silt. Vivian is probably the most picturesque dive site that you will find and whilst you are off diving, there are lots of other fun things for the family to do, including walks, museams and riding the railine up Snowdon. Vivian is operated by the well known UK based PADI diving agency, Duttons Divers. They offer onsite training, should you wish to learn to dive in this amazing location, or enhance your Scuba Diving Skills. The dive site itself offers a maximum depth of 22 meters, making this the perfect location for novice divers, as well as the more experienced. As per social media and the notices, due to Covid-19 social distancing, all quarry diving must now be booked online prior to arrival. Each day will be divided into 2 slots, a morning session and afternoon session. This is to minimise divers coming into contact with each other. Alternatively you can book a full day (morning and evening slot together). The below timings are for quarry diving, training courses are still conducted all week: Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: 10am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm Thursday: 10am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm Friday: 10 am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm Saturday: 9.30am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm Sunday: 9.30am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm Please contact to book late night opening for night dives.​ ALL DIVING MUST BE PRE-BOOKED BY CLICKING BELOW.
