Meghri is the southernmost city in Armenia, a particularly unknown corner of the country for tourists. Previously, it was a large fortress, which was surrounded by "natural" walls in the form of large rocks. Now it is a small cozy town with a population of 4500 people with delicious fruits and unusual views. Despite the long road from Yerevan (it takes about 8 hours to get here on the new road through Tatev), it is worth coming here for at least a couple of days - to visit the Meghrian fortress, churches with unique frescoes and get to know the locals.
