This video documents a real police encounter during urban exploring. In law, trespass is a civil matter, not a criminal offence. During this interaction, the officer states that they believe trespass itself amounts to anti-social behaviour and attempts to use Section 50 of the Police Reform Act 2002 to demand my personal details, stating I would be arrested if I did not comply. Section 50 is intended for genuine anti-social behaviour that causes harassment, alarm, or distress, not for resolving civil land disputes. At no point is any specific anti-social behaviour identified beyond the alleged trespass itself. Throughout the interaction, I remain calm and repeatedly ask what lawful power is being relied upon. In the end, I provide my details only because I am threatened with arrest, not because the legal power is clearly or properly engaged. This video is shared for educational purposes, to encourage people to understand the difference between civil and criminal law and to know their rights when interacting with police. 📍 Location: Eastborne 🎥 Activity: Urban Exploring (Urbex) ⚖️ Topic: Police powers, civil trespass, Section 50 PRA 2002
