In order to ensure a healthy flock and timely births, rams that will not be used for breeding need to get banded. Banding means we use a device called an elastrator and some heavy duty rubber bands to place over the rams "boys" in order to castrate them. It is a humane, affordable, non surgical way to castrate baby lambs and sheep.
