Testing out the amazing quality of the M3 while visiting NYC last week. All footage was recorded while walking at the same pace and in the same conditions (you can see Radio City getting closer and closer with each clip). As you can see, even basic SteadyShot improves stabilisation by a huge margin. I was holding the camera in one hand and walking fairly fast. Personally, I've never used such a small camera with an amazing feature like SteadyShot. Truly amazing footage when you consider how it was filmed. My recommendation is to use the "Active" setting at all times, except when using a tripod/stand. "Intelligent Active" should only be used in situations such as this video (when quite a lot of movement is involved). SteadyShot works by using the border of the footage to reduce shaking, so you will lose some quality. All footage was recorded in XAVC S, 50P, 50M.
