I had a meeting with a fellow podcaster who had come across a problem with his audio. His problem was that his final podcast recording had a buzz that came from his microphone each time that he spoke. He told me that sometimes he experiences a buzz that comes from his microphone. When he reached out to me, he was hoping that he could fix the problem using Adobe Audition, but I advised him that this wouldn't be possible. If you are a beginning podcaster, you have to remember that your levels that are being fed into your mixing board or portable mixing device depend on two particular things: 1. Your physical distance from the microphone. 2. The input level (volume) from your mixing board into your recording device. There may be different rules out there regarding recording, but this has been my rule ever since I started recording at home nearly 8 years ago. My number 1 rule when recording into any device is that I would rather RECORD at a lower decibel (volume) level than record too loud. (too hot). The reason is because I can always adjust the volume in post-production as opposed to having shoddy audio that is going to bother the listener's ears. - - - - - - - - 👇 Discover More Valuable Resources Below 👇 🎙️ Looking for Podcast Equipment Recommendations?
