These are a new kind of folder that already have the die embedded in it so it embosses and cuts in a single pass. I dry embossed several panels using 3 embossing folders and several colors of cardstock in my Spellbinder Platinum Die Cutting machine. It is best to use paper that is not very thick, you might have trouble cutting through 120lb cardstock, I tried 80lb white cardstock and 110lb colored cardstock and it cut fine.
