If you want to grow hops successfully at home you have to know what hop plants want. Every plant has its own motivations and hops are certainly no exception. Growing healthy hop plants is not quite as simple as buying some rhizomes, sticking them in the ground, and building a big ol’ hop trellis. If you ask me, the most important thing to consider when growing hops is your watering schedule. Some people will tell you to water maybe once or twice a week and to water very deeply. But unfortunately that’s not gonna lead to the best results.
