Interested in this guitar? It’s for SALE! Call (515) 864-6136 Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting... A beautiful and all original 1965 Gibson ES 125tcd with the Gibson Branded Soft Shell case! This guitar is just outstanding. A single owner guitar bought right here in Iowa. It was owned by a Pro Player back in the day and left it to his son who doesn't play guitar. He was kind enough to offer it to us, and we gladly accepted. What a beautiful instrument. We had it checked out by our Luthier's but really didn't require much work. It had a previous neck reset and refret as it was well played over the years. They used medium frets which I think are a huge improvement over Gibson's tiny vintage frets. This guitar plays as well as any guitar we have ever had. The top has faded from its original cherry to the the faded orange yellow...Such a cool look. You can see the difference in the color by looking at the back. That's what the top used to look like...It has the original nut, bridge, tailpiece and even the original Pickguard. Those are always missing... What can you say about the vintage P90 Pickups... Incredible sounding...need I say more? Anyone who has ever experienced these vintage P90's will tell you, they are the best sounding pickups Gibson ever made. I will not dispute that. They sound great! You can see evidence of the neck reset on the side of the neck. See pics 10 and 11... It has mucho finish crazing which we love but no mentionable cracks or bad dings... a lot of wear on the back of the neck. We are always happy to see that. This guitar was loved and played a lot!! Set up great and new 10 gauge strings from or Techs... It plays wonderful with awesome low action. The nut measures 1 5/8 inches and it has a 24 1/2 inch scale neck... The neck is a nice medium C profile and while it has one of the thinner Gibson necks, it is not one of the super skinny necks...I love it! Check out the original soft shell case. Quite a survivor after all these years. Is it a Gibson case? YES!! We can tell from the appearance and red deluxe plush interior. If that isn't enough clues, it even still has the Gibson metal logo plate on the neck pocket. See pic 16. All latches and original handle are present. Al three hinges are there but the middle leather hinge is loose. Even the accessory box is still with this awesome case... Beautiful, but vintage and used so its sold as is no returns. However, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for over 20 years now and they all loved the guitars I found for them. This incredible Gibson will certainly not be an exception. Thanks for checking out our cool guitars, parts and gear! Lawman Mike at Lawman Guitars
