NEW! SKY LAGOON, GEOTHERMAL BATHING POOL & SPA IN REYKJAVIK, ICELAND

I recently went to Iceland and couldn't WAIT to try out the new Sky Lagoon geothermal bathing pool and spa which is just outside Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. This lagoon exceeded expectations and the review shows everything it offers. It was a freezing cold day so stepping into the hot, thermal water felt heavenly. It's beautifully landscaped with steam wafting across the water's surface due to the contrast between the outdoor temperature and the heat of the water. The bathing pool is really a giant infinity pool which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. The lagoon twists and turns around rocks and around one corner there's even a bar, serving proper drinks. Lots of people walk around the lagoon with glasses in hand. This is a great place to go to watch the sunset and the sunset the day I was there was AMAZING! The video captures this well. I also try out it's unique '7 Steps Ritual' - this is a spa/ritual circuit and includes the hot and cold pools, the sauna, doing a scrub, going in a mist room and a steam room and then showering. I can't wait to go back. I'd like to soak in the Sky Lagoon all day and never get out!!!
