I am a dentist by trade, not a service tech, but I have owned this particular autoclave for close to 20 years. With the help of Wally from "allclaveparts.com" (no affiliation), I have managed to fix this unit, as well as my Statim 2000 every time I have had an issue. Last week we had a leak under the autoclave, and I took the cover off and ran a cycle when I could not find the immediate cause. Turned out to be the float valve inside the reservoir had snapped and was leaking. I bought the part and wanted to make a video on the replacement. Well, that video sucked and I wound up scrapping that idea, since the camera angles were awful and all that was visible was the back of my fat head. Decided that while the unit was apart, I would clean the valves- something I was always afraid to do. I also wanted to reconnect my drying pump, which I had disconnected in the past. That turned into this video- part at my office on the floor, the rest on my center island- after I dragged the autoclave home after work on a Saturday. Well the camera angles are still awful- there is no main theme, the audience for this type of video is clearly limited- but I wanted to put this out there----because maybe it can help someone take the plunge and fix their autoclave. Its really no more difficult than a dishwasher--- a few 3/8" compression fittings and some plumbing. The electronics going bad is something totally different. If that happens you just have to buy the part and replace it. Anyway, enjoy Rich
