Investing in our community’s care starts with investing in the excellence of our clinical staff. The IMCU expansion is an opportunity for staff to grow their skills, expand their knowledge, and join residency programs to serve as a foundation for new career levels. “Our aim is to match the nursing skill and expertise and our hospital programs to the care environment that patients need,” said Amy Browning, MHA, RN, CV-BC, FACHE, Director of Critical Care Services at Northside Hospital Forsyth. Our clinical leaders develop staff and ensure they have the skills to succeed in their current role and learn new skills to continue desired growth either in the current unit or in other areas. “The IMCU gives me the opportunity to grow as a nurse and develop my critical thinking skills,” said Kim Shaffer, Clinician at Northside Hospital Forsyth. With a wide variety of patient needs, staff in the IMCU can find flexibility and numerous advancement opportunities.
