History of DNA. What is DNA? DNA visualisation visualized DNA animation. We look into the structure of DNA, including its two polynucleotide strand, hydrogen bonding between purines and pyrimidines, phosphodiester bonds and linkages, and DNA's bidirectionality (antiparallel) as it has its 5' and 3' ends. We also discuss Phoebus Levene's incorrect tetranucleotide hypothesis. We explores DNA structure in more detail, including the double helix model, X-ray crystallography, and Fourier Transform.
