I can talk forever about their technical prowess in the studio, but it was the themes in this record that seemed to pop out a little more to me. Disillusion, isolation, and control (or lack thereof) seep through their music, but it's their approach to these themes that sets them apart. They're much more "show" instead of "tell." They could just say, "I feel isolated," but instead, we get a peek into that psyche with sounds emitting those same feelings. If this album doesn't make you rock hard, listen to Hoobastank or something.
