Nursing School Clinicals - What to Expect | Nursing School Vlog

What are clinicals like in nursing school? What can nursing students expect during clinical rotations? I can still remember feeling nervous about nursing school clinicals. I wondered if I would do something that I wasn't supposed to do. I was worried that I might get lost in those large healthcare facilities. I also worried that the other nurses might not like me. Thankfully, I survived clinicals, and you can, too! What can you expect during clincials? In my nursing school, we got to experience a variety of clinical settings during our clinical rotations. I got to work in the OR, ER, Med-Surg, ICU, wound care, OB, and more. Each semester, our nursing school classes would correspond with our clinical rotations. So, if we were taking maternity that semester, we'd be working on the OB floor, and so on. During my last semester, we got to choose our preferred clinical site, and we worked right alongside a nurse during their shift. That was my favorite semester of nursing school clinicals.
