I paddler the entire length of the river to it's end at Lake Huron. Following the shoreline west, I weave through a maze of island and across the open water to Killarney. This trip is filled with many ups and downs with wind, heavy rain and whitewater to add to the rigors of the journey. I chose this route because I wanted a longer trip with a variety of terrain without having to spend two days driving to get there. The mighty French River did not disappoint. This route has been used for centuries to travel across Central Ontario and it still has a magical feel to it.
