As I was riding the bus home from work, I started to hear some shouting at the back of the bus. I didn't think anything of it at first, but after about twenty seconds or so, it was getting REALLY loud. I once missed an opportunity to video something epic on my phone, and I promised myself I would not miss such an opportunity again if it ever came up. It occurred to me that this might be such an opportunity, so I stopped listening to my podcasts and started filming! After the fight was over, the bus went out of service because the driver had to call the police. I stayed behind to talk to the officers and showed them the video. Several months later, I received a phone call from the local district attorney's office. They told me that there was a criminal trial and that I was being summoned as a witness. As of this writing (22Feb2019), I've gone to court once. The prosecutor and the public defender argued for a few moments over my video. The PD wanted to exclude it, the ADA wanted it to come in. The ADA won. I didn't testify that day because the case was continued to 4Mar, when I have to appear in court again. So the story isn't over yet. Stay tuned!
