❗️ UPDATE (2 Feb 2026): The left car has been shut down for modernization by Hyundai according to VT Elevators. RIP 1985 - 2026 Finally one of the elevators in the older building of Pasaraya Blok M has been modernized, not by Hitachi but Hyundai instead. I wonder if the management didn't have enough budget to replace it so they opted a modernization instead. This was my first time seeing a Hyundai mod that was done in a non-Hyundai elevator. It has now got new controller, door operator and fixtures while the existing car interior is retained. The LOPs also has built-in sensors which work by moving your hand up and down to register a call, a feature part of Hyundai's Clean Moving solution (similar to Schindler's Clean Mobility). While the mod looks fairly nice, the doors are rather slow and it bounces upon stopping. The remaining old elevator was still there, which of course I filmed it again (for the last time) even though nothing changed. Anyway I'm glad I did it as by the time I published this video the left car has been shut down for mod, so RIP... Filming on Sunday means it was quite difficult for me to film as it was really busy, but I really didn't want to waste my opportunity to get this anyway.
