Girlfriend used Splash (but nothing happened) My girlfriend continues her journey through the Pokémon series this week with Pokémon Emerald! When it came to choosing a third generation game to play there were lots of debates over whether she should play the remakes or the originals. Up until now she's only played remakes, but I think this is the right place to start playing the originals. Emerald is what some may consider the definitive version of Ruby and Sapphire, so I thought it was a good choice for her gen 3 playthrough. She had a good time with this one, so don't count out Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire yet! We may take another visit to Hoenn when we finally make it to the 3DS!
