The African American Legacy Preaching Series of Christian Theological Seminary presents “A Conversation with Rev. Dr. Jessica K. Ingram hosted by Dr. Frank A. Thomas.” Rev. Dr. Jessica K. Ingram is recognized with over 44 years of service as a profound preacher, visionary, author, and pillar of hope throughout the United States and global communities. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from the University of Missouri, a Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from St. Louis University, a Master of Religious Education from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Spirituality from United Theological Seminary. She trained in Spiritual Direction at the Colombiere Center in Clarkston, MI and was the first protestant African American to study at the center. Dr. Ingram is the Founder of the L.I.F.T. Women’s Center in Detroit, MI which provides essential resources for restoration and empowerment to over 30,000 women recovering from physical, mental, and substance abuse. She established the Balm in Gilead Centre: The Healing Place for Women, equipping unemployed, uneducated, and underserved women in the impoverished settlement of Wallacedene, South Africa, with premier medical, educational, and professional resources. She served as the Episcopal Supervisor for three Episcopal Districts in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Dr. Jessica is married to Bishop Gregory G. M. Ingram. They are the parents of Jennifer Eman Keanner, married to Gregory McCoy, and have two gifted granddaughters, Gabby and Jayda.
