Hey guys, here's my updated Nightblade build that I've been using since around December. I'll try to answer a few of the most commonly asked questions in this description. Why no Burning Spellweave? I actually use Burning Spellweave in my group when we have 3-4 Stamina Nightblades using War Machine since we'll already have quite a bit of Major Slayer. Why no Zaan? Zaan is really strong, but it isn't usable everywhere so I wouldn't include it in a general build. 75 Thaum, yes or no? The difference between using 75 thaumaturge and not using it is very small (within 1%) so for this reason I've just decided to opt out of it. Trial ads that are not CCable (anything with more than 500k health usually) are not able to be set off balance more often than bosses, meaning that even on those ads you'll only see a maximum uptime of 25%. Why not use the Perfected staff? The Perfected staff is really strong, but on Nightblade I haven't really noticed enough of a difference in DPS to make it worthwhile for me, especially considering the loss in sustain. Another issue with the staff is that when you bar swap while casting force pulse, the status effects from the staff will not be applied. Since Nightblades barswap a lot, this eliminates a lot of the staff's usefulness. Why put Cripple on back bar and Twisting Path on front bar? A few reasons - single target DoTs like Cripple take the stats of the bar that they are cast on. Since we barswap cancel Cripple, it will take the stats of the front bar even though we are casting it on the back bar. Also, having Twisting Path on the front bar allows us to have more health on the bar we spend most of our time on. Why Trap Beast? Because we're using a set like Acuity that gives us a ton of Critical Chance, the 10% Critical Damage from Trap is even more useful than it usually would be. There is only a few fights in the game that you cannot use Trap as a ranged DD (Mage and Assembly General). Finally, a few more notes on the build: -Blue CP is 40 Thaumaturge, 66 Master-at-Arms, 52 Elfborn, 26 Spell Erosion, 56 Elemental Expert -I use the Apprentice Mundus in all trials, including Asylum Sanctorium -Dark Elf seems to be the best race this patch, but High Elf isn't far behind -On quite a few fights, blue food is likely sustainable, but I still stick with gold food -Something to remember about Acuity is that your results from boss to boss and dummy to dummy will likely vary quite a bit, that's just the nature of the set Song: LFZ - Echoes [NCS Release] Music provided by NoCopyrightSounds.
