St. Vincent’s Beach The Irish Loop Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada July 2 - July 3 - July 5 (2025) This 10-minute video contains some of the highlights during 8+ hours on three different days in one of the more unique and magical places I have ever been. If you are interested in whales and seabirds and nature and unpredictable weather and the sounds of pebbles being rolled by crashing ocean waves, I highly recommend St. Vincent’s Beach during late June and early July! https://www.newfoundlandlabrador.com/... St. Vincent’s beach is located at the bottom of the Avalon Peninsula along the Irish Loop Route. Direct from St. John’s, it is 134km or a (1hr 50min) drive away on route 90 or 181km (2.5hrs) if you take the leisurely route clockwise along the coast on route 10. The main attraction for visiting St. Vincent’s Beach in Newfoundland and Labrador is to see the whales. From June to August humpback whales can be found just off of the beach feeding on capelin and other sea life in the area. The 5km beach is the largest site in the world where you can view humpbacks and other whales from land. Due to a steep drop off in the water not far from shore the whales are able to get quite close to the beach when feeding making for an incredible experience for visitors. https://www.newfoundlandlabrador.com/... Beautiful scenic cobblestone beach in St. Vincent's. Visitors can sit and enjoy the magnificent humpback whales a stone's throw away from shore. End of June and mid-July the humpbacks return chasing their food supply - caplin! Come visit our wheelchair-accessible visitor centre with paved parking. Located midpoint between Mistaken Point UNESCO Site in Portugal Cove South/Trepassey area and Salmonier Nature Park/Wild Golf Resort on Salmonier Line.
