Your vehicle may be equipped with the Active Lane Control system. Using a camera located in front of the inside rearview mirror, this system detects the lane markers on the traveling lane and then provides small steering force and angle adjustments to help the driver maintain a straight path and reduce fatigue. When this occurs, you may experience a slight movement in the steering wheel. To activate this system, first check to ensure that it is enabled in the Driver Assistance settings. To do this: ● Press the MENU button on the control panel, ● Touch DRIVER ASSISTANCE on the lower touch screen display, ● Then touch LANE ASSIST. ● Touch Active Lane Control to enable or disable Active Lane Control. If the indicator light on the ACTIVE LANE CONTROL key is not illuminated, touch the key to enable the system. Once enabled, the ACTIVE LANE CONTROL SETTING key can be set to Low or High. The LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION system must be enabled in order to enable the ACTIVE LANE CONTROL system. The system can now be activated by pressing the Dynamic Assistance Switch on the right side of the steering wheel. Once activated, the system’s status can be monitored in the vehicle information display.
