Royalton Hicacos Resort & Spa - Our Trip to Varadero Cuba in November 2021 1080 HD

We compiled this video to reflect our experiences and memories from the recent trip to Varadero, Cuba staying at Royalton Hicacos Resort & Spa in November 2021. Due to COVID, there were shortage of supplies on site, but in general it was a nice resort and we had a good vacation. The staff, the beach, the entertainment programs and the common areas in the resort are pretty awesome, but our room (2209) happened to be one of those outdated ones which was not 5-star ready. Our trip (from travel logistic perspective) was relatively relaxing since we were both fully vaccinated and the PCR testing 3 days prior to returning to Canada on site at Royalton was quite stress-free (USD41 including all fee payable using major credit cards online only), also luckily our vacation ended just before COVID Omicron variant impacted the travel restriction, as Canada requested all arrival passengers to take PCR testing upon arrival starting Dec. 1, 2021. The capacity at the resort was around 50%-ish with mostly Russian, some Canadian, the rest Cuban locals/ from other countries. Overall we enjoy this trip, but we also recognize that COVID did change travel quite a lot. #Cuba #Varadero #Travel
