The Fiery Gizzard Trail is located within the South Cumberland State Park in Tennessee The trail is 13 miles from point to point and provides some of the best hiking terrain in the United States. On this hike we started at the Grundy Forest Trail Head and made our way to Foster Falls. The South Cumber Land State park is composed of an estimated 30,845 acres over 9 separate areas and four different counties including Sequatchie, Franklin, Grundy and Marion. The Fiery Gizzard trail is rated as strenuous and you will see spectacular rock formations, rushing streams, waterfalls, several gorges with boulders everywhere, vista views, beautiful overlooks and green woodland vegetation everywhere.
