The Atomic BC2 incorporates the same futuristic, incredibly tough, corrosion-resistant materials as the jacket-style BC1. A result of the Atomic “design studio” approach, the BC2 is a radical design departure from conventional back flotation BCs and is the TOUGH-EST BACK INFLATION BC in the world. EXCLUSIVE ATOMIC BC SERIES MATERIALS The BC2 is crafted using a unique double-laminated polyurethane-coated fabric and corrosion-resistant metals. The attractive matte-coated fabric sheds water so the BC2 is virtually DRY seconds after surfacing. This exclusive Atomic BC series fabric is incredibly strong and durable to provide years of confident diving. It holds nearly dou-ble the pressure of standard BC materials, is virtually impenetrable and resists abrasion, tears and punctures. Self-cleaning, UV and stain-resistant, it also resists chemicals, mold, rot and mildew. PATENTED EZ-LOK WEIGHT SYSTEM The exclusive Atomic EZ-LOK Weight Release System enables divers to quickly, easily load weights while in or out of the water. Two zip-pered pouches each hold up to 10 pounds of hard or soft weights (14 pounds for X-Large size). Weight pouches glide into pockets under the arms and lock into place with a reassuring “SNAP.” A simple one-handed tug on the handle is all it takes to release. Weight pouch is secured at the BC back to prevent shifting forward. (US Patent No. 9,296,451) CAM-LOK TANK BAND The Ratcheting CAM-LOK Tank Band is the result of Atomic engineers rethinking everything. It allows divers to mount and secure the BC2 to a wide range of tank sizes in just seconds. The ratcheting band is similar to the bindings on ski boots and quickly adjusts without the cumbersome weaving of webbing through a buckle. Pressing the over-center buckle locks it down. The strong one-piece band is polyurethane coated and sealed from the elements so it won’t slip, stretch, or absorb water like conventional nylon webbing. BACK INFLATION AT THE FOREFRONT OF DESIGN The Atomic BC2 is a radical design departure for a back inflation BC. The repairable/replaceable double inner bladder is contained within tough, beautiful waterproof fabric. Unlike most other back inflation BCs, the BC2 is neutrally-buoyant. The BC2 is incredibly comfortable. A diver feels “bolted in” becoming one with the BC, which exudes a feeling of confidence and comfort during the dive. A special silicone flotation cell retraction band expands then returns cleanly into a hidden section under the weight system.
