Probing the nearest, most iron-poor massive stars - Elisa Schösser (ZAH/ ARI, Universität Heidelberg) (17/diciembre/2025) I study massive stars with very low metal content to better understand how stars and galaxies were formed in the early Universe. Using new ultraviolet and optical observations of stars in the nearby Magellanic Bridge, I determine their properties and iron abundances. These stars reach metallicities similar to the early Universe, making the Bridge an ideal laboratory for studying massive stars under primitive conditions. Consistently modelling WR-star Winds: What Changes? - Roel Lefever (ZAH/ ARI, Universität Heidelberg) (17/diciembre/2025) Wolf-Rayet (WR) stars are a massive and evolved subtype of stars characterised by large outflows of material: the stellar wind. This stellar wind determines most of the outlook of these stars and is paramount in understanding their evolution, feedback and characteristics, but is also notoriously difficult to model. In my work, I focus on a novel technique that models the wind structure consistently, where I will present new results and make a detailed comparison with more traditional modelling.
