[Zen Nihon Budogu / Nihon Kendogu Seisakusho] 80 years of history, in which even the Emperor came to observe how the Japanese Bogu was made, defines our Kendogu workshop. We were the first ones to develop the Machine Stitch Bogu and introduced it to the world. Our craftsman and artisans have been making Kendo equipment for at least 20 years (some of them more than 30 years) in the traditional Japanese way. The longest artisans working at our factory have more than 40 years of expertise. It is said that we are the only factory in Japan capable of making every part of the Kendo equipment by ourselves. The 70% of the Bogu made in Japan actually comes from our factory. In recent years, the foreign factories making Bogu have vastly increased, as well as the companies who order to them for re-selling purposes. In Japan we are the only company that owns both a Japanese factory and a foreign factory, allowing us to create, manage and develop our own products while teaching, prepare and train our foreign workers directly. The Kendo equipment market is getting more and more narrowed every year, plus the artisan and the well experienced craftsman are getting older and older. We don't know for how long they will be able to continue. In spite of this crisis, we want to keep doing our best together.
