2026 Intel Core Ultra Series 3 CPU and Arc B390 iGPU Review - Wow!

Intel is happy to focus on processors and GPUs for PCs rather than leaving us in the dust in pursuit of datacenter dollars. That means that Intel’s new 2026 CPU and iGPU made with the new A18 process rock in terms of performance and battery life. It continues the previous gen focus on battery life which seriously improving performance. The new Intel Arc B390 iGPU makes gaming possible in Ultrabooks and productivity laptops with performance surpassing some NVIDIA GPUs. We look at a reference design Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 with the Intel Core Ultra x9 388H CPU (25 watt), Arc B390, a 16” 2880 x 1800 OLED display in an aluminum chassis. We compare it with the last gen Intel processor as well as the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 with Radeon 880M GPU. Note that the US version of the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 will have an NVIDIA GPU, and the version with Intel-only graphics will be available in some other countries (sorry, don't know specific countries).
