Scrap metal truck rollover = BIG MESS! On the bright side, these trash bins did not have actual trash lol. This was on its way to the recycle yard, and I'm not certain but I believe the load was copper and various metals. The job was literally a couple miles from me in the middle of 15th St and Washington Blvd, about a couple miles from Downtown LA. Despite getting there fast, I wasn't able to start the upright until the company did the clean up first. To expedite, I got Hulk, my 50ton rotator, into position and formulated my game plan so the job would be done as fast and efficient as possible. While the crew worked to load the bins onto new trucks and clear the street, I started to layout my chain and rigging. After the crew was done with the cleanup portion, I sprung into action and set up all 4 of my boom lines to do a lift and catch solo. Since the unit was empty, it was a pretty easy task for my truck. Once upright, I was able to move it a bit to make it super easy for Echo to back up to it to tow it out of the scene and back to the customer's yard.
