Supreme Court Acquits 3 Convicts In Delhi's Chhawla Rape Case | Latest News | English News

On Monday, the Supreme Court acquitted three men who had been given the death penalty by a Delhi court for raping and killing a 19-year-old woman in the Chhawla area of Delhi in 2012. Three men were given the death sentence by a Delhi court in February 2014 after they were found guilty of raping and killing a 19-year-old woman in 2012. The Delhi High Court confirmed the death penalty on August 26, 2014. The victim's disfigured body was discovered in a field with various wounds from an assault including tools for cars and earthen pots, among other materials.  Ravi Kumar, Rahul, and Vinod were found guilty of multiple offences including murder, rape, and kidnapping.
