Duncan Bonnett, Director - Africa House discusses COVID-19, and the impact on infrastructure projects globally and in Africa. There are many opinions and speculation on the impact that COVID-19 is going to have. Whilst there is no doubt that there are disruptions to new-build infrastructure projects rights now, it might be a bit too soon to really understand the broader impact. Duncan talks across sectors, from ports, rail, oil and gas, among others - including donor funding and the changing priorities of Government during this time. One should not look at Africa as one entity, but each country individually – there are ongoing opportunities and Africa should be able to accelerate regional and domestic supply following this disruption.
