Air Force Cadets Freedom of Entry into Sydney

Freedom of Entry to the City of Sydney was bestowed upon No 3 Wing (3WG) Australian Air Force Cadets (NSW and ACT) by the Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore on Sunday 28 August, 2016. Over 1000 cadets and staff marched down Macquarie Street to the Opera House where the parade was challenged by a NSW Police Inspector who acknowledged their right and privilege to enter the ‘City of Sydney’. The Parade was reviewed by the Lord Mayor of Sydney’s representative, Councillor Jenny Green and the Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin, AC who was a former 3WG Cadet. The event was the highlight of the 75th year Anniversary of the Australian Air Force Cadets.
