When we were still in Colorado workamping we started searching for things to do when our time there was over. We happened upon a mining tour in Bisbee, Arizona where they take you inside the old mines and explain the history, so we knew we wanted to check that out. We booked a two night stay at Queen Mine RV Park about a week before visiting. We really recommend calling in advance if you plan on staying there because that area did not have a lot of availability. It was cash only so they'll write your name down and you pay when you arrive. It was $80. for two nights (water, sewer, and electric included). The place is up on a hill directly in between Lavender Pit and the Bisbee Mine tour, so it was perfect for us! We thoroughly enjoyed the mine tour and soon after made our way into town. As of right now we do not have a tow vehicle and driving Big Boy Corduroy through town roads with a lot of foot traffic wasn't ideal, but luckily, they had a sidewalk that led from where we were all the way into town. They have so many cute shops there and if you visit enough stores you can find a good price. Of course, you can also spend a lot of money there if you aren't careful. We walked The Great Stair Climb. If you've never heard of it, it's a 4.5 mile course featuring nine staircases (over 1000 total steps) connected by winding roads. On the way there is a little overlook where you can see a bit of the downtown area, but it's also easy to get a little lost. For dinner we went to Bisbee Table and I ordered a huge cheese pizza with ranch and Luke ordered a reuben with horseradish and chipotle fries. We are usually too full for dessert, but the bread pudding you had to order in advance with your meal because of the amount of time it takes to make, so that night we had desert... and holy cow! It was delicious! This was my first time ever trying bread pudding and I was in heaven. Have you ever visited Bisbee, Arizona? If so, what was your experience like?
