The Race off Eastern Long Island is a treacherous place to fish under ideal conditions. Factor in fog, big rips, and lots of boats and you have the recipe for chaos. Luckily for my two man charter (father and son duo George and Leo), the fishing was spectacular on this 1/2 day trip. George and Leo boated 20 bass between them in just over 3 hours. George was using a 6 ounce bucktail and Leo was using a 3 way swivel that most folks who fish this location use. Surprisingly, the breakdown of fish was 50/50.
