The Raja Ampat Nature Lodge lies on the small Island Biri in front of the bigger Island Batanta. It offers great comfortable Papuan Style Bungalows with 40m², inside bathroom and big Veranda with Hammock. The bungalow only costs USD 70 per night for two persons including all Meals plus Coffee, Tea and Water. The mattress on the floor will be replaced with a bed and mattress of good quality 180cmx200cm and a nice Mosquitonet. There is great snorkelling in front of the beach on a dropp off Reef. The Reef is in good condition and you can see a variety of Fishes and Corrals. Reef-sharks and Turtles are very common but also Mantas and Wobbegon-sharks can be seen. We have seen a Manta jumping out of the water and on a nearby reef one of the rare Dugongs. They can arrange snorkelling trips to other spots or if you like to do a little bit of walking it is worth to see the nearby Waterfall or Birds of Paradise. As you can see in the movie there is also abundant wildlife at the place itself and the surrounding lush, mainly untouched Rainforest. One of our greatest experiences was to hear the sound of the many birds in the morning. Unfortunately we were only able to capture some of the wildlife by camera, in reality if you are attentive you will see much more. It is a good idea if you take a good binocular with you.
