Independence Square (Malay: Dataran Merdeka) is a square located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. It was formerly known as the Selangor Club Padang or simply the Padang (meaning "field" in Malay) and was used as the cricket green of the Selangor Club (now the Royal Selangor Club). It was here that the Union Flag was lowered and the Malaysian flag hoisted for the first time at midnight on 31 August 1957. Since then, the Independence Square has been the usual venue for the annual Independence Day Parade. The Kuala Lumpur Tower (Malay: Menara Kuala Lumpur), colloquially referred to as KL Tower, is a 6-storey, 421-metre-tall (1,381 ft) telecommunication tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is the world's seventh-tallest tower. It features an antenna which increases its height to 421 metres (1,381 feet). The roof of the pod is at 335 metres (1,100 feet). The rest of the tower below has a stairwell and an elevator to reach the upper area, which also contains a revolving restaurant, providing diners with a panoramic view of the city. 00:00-01:40 Intro 01:41-05:33 on the way to Independence Square 05:34- 10:16 Info about Independence Square and Sultan Abdul Samad Building 10:17-11:50 My opinion about the place 11:51-13:34 Cinematic shots 13:35-16:57 Info about River of Life 16:58-23:06 Info about KL Tower 23:07-24:04 Outro
