This film takes a look at the life of farmer that work exclusively with sheep. We follow the farmers from the start of the farming year to the end, covering all the duties of a sheep farmer. This documentary features many breeds of sheep both pure and crossbreeds. Sheep like the Wicklow Cheviot, an old Irish breed., the Scottish Blackface, flocks of Kerry hills, Zwartbles and Jacobs sheep. Suffock, Texels, Marsham, Teeswater, Oxford Down, Rouge,Mules as well as Dominic McIlvar's large flock of crossbreeds. There are a couple of sheepdogs working and an exhibition of sheep shearing with a ewe sheared in one minute and 14 seconds.
