Martin has recently published his excellent memoir - ‘On Days Like These’ and I was lucky enough to catch up with him to discuss his career through his choice of three different football shirts. A league and two time European Cup winner at Nottingham Forest, Martin went on to augment his trophy cabinet with yet more honours as a top level manager at clubs like Leicester City, Celtic and various others. Martin was captain of the famous Northern Ireland team that reached the second round of the World Cup in 1982, something he reprised as manager of the Republic of Ireland at Euro 2016. Martin was kind enough to put a lot of thought into his shirt choices and this, coupled with his unique storytelling ability means that listeners are in for a real treat today.
