While travelling through Chengdu, I visited one of China’s famous all-night spas that locals use to relax, socialise, and even sleep. For one price, you get access to unlimited towels, relaxation zones, entertainment areas, and a huge range of treatments designed to help you completely switch off. From the moment I walked in, the spa felt more like a luxury wellness complex than anything I’ve experienced before. There were multiple sauna rooms, hot pools, massage services, and endless places to relax. But as a foreign visitor, I also experienced a serious culture shock when I discovered how traditional spa customs work here. In this video, I show you what a full 24-hour Chinese spa experience is really like, how much it costs, what you can expect, and whether it’s worth trying when you visit China.
