I left an unfinished guide in June 2012 and promised myself I'll complete it one day, so here I am 8 years later. This time with a complete, detailed guide! Bonuses (aka Bonus Items) are the only collectible in the game. They are saved immediately upon collecting so it doesn't matter if you die or quit, you'll still have them. However, if you want to turn off your PS3, make sure you first "Quit Game" with your PS button, to save your progress. Their only purpose is to unlock concept art ("START" to "GALLERY" to "ARTWORK"), so this is primarily for completionists, although the in-game % does NOT require bonuses, so it's up to you. Artworks, albeit not very exciting, are the only thing you can't unlock with cheats. As a general rule, every piece of artwork has a corresponding bonus item that unlocks it. There are 69 artworks. 2 of them (#1 and #33) are nameless and unlocked from the beginning so technically you only "unlock" 67. However, there are 70 bonuses, so 3 bonuses don't actually unlock any artwork; these unlock Gallery Videos instead. This includes bonus #54 at 15:49 (unlocks "Jumper" video), as well as the last one that spawns in Battle Mode with Mr. Incredible (unlocks "Welcome Back" video) and Elastigirl (unlocks "Are We There Yet?" video), respectively. Thanks to user nicmtap for providing the info regarding the videos, as I thought these bonus items didn't unlock anything at all. Where are these 70 bonuses? The main campaign has 54 (3 per mission, 18 missions total), while Battle Mode has 16 (8 per character, 2 characters total). You can see which bonuses you're missing by going to "Mission Select" and seeing the "Bonuses Acquired" number under each mission. If the number isn't there, it means you didn't get any. Although unnecessary, you can narrow down your search even further. After every bonus, I show which exact artwork I've unlocked from that exact bonus (you can use the artwork number as reference to find it in your Gallery, counting from top to bottom). If you don't have the artwork, you haven't found that bonus. This method of course does not cover the 3 bonuses that don't unlock any artwork. Battle Mode ("START" to "BATTLE SELECT" to "BATTLE MODE") is an arena you unlock upon beating Mission 10 (or by using the cheat code iLiemiaow or rotaidaLg in the "SECRETS" option), where you fight 9 rounds of enemies as either Mr. Incredible or Elastigirl. At the end of every round (except the first one) a bonus item will spawn inside the arena, so there are 8 bonuses per battle, 16 total when you play with both characters. Any bonuses that spawn in the arena will not vanish unless the mode ends, which happens if you die or shortly after beating round 9, so make sure you get all 8 bonuses BEFORE that (unlike me in the video), but no need to rush between rounds. Remember: the last bonus that spawns after beating Round 9 unlocks a video, not artwork. That's the case with both characters. Artworks #56-62 correspond linearly to Mr. Incredible's Battle Mode bonuses, and the remaining correspond likewise to Elastigirl's. When every mission says "Bonuses Acquired: 3" and Battle Mode says "Bonuses Acquired: 16", that's when you'll know you've gotten all 70 Bonuses! UPDATE: There is a fourth bonus item location in 100 Mile Dash, that was clearly not intended by the developers to be found. They probably forgot to remove it. This bonus is actually a duplicate for bonus #37 (which unlocks artwork #39). That means if you get one of the two, the other one will disappear. So you can still only get 3 bonuses in that mission. Here it is anyway: • 100 mile dash bonus item from a cliff This was recorded with an HD PVR2 on a non-backwards compatible PlayStation 3, using the PS2 Classics version of The Incredibles. The original game was first released 31/10/2004 (NA).
