Prof Jain talks about his struggles with finding a job after graduating as an engineer. He speaks about attending 15-20 interviews but not getting through anywhere. He talks about how it was a matter of chance that he applied to IIMA. One of his friends who was a lecturer in Patiala was applying to IIMA and Prof Jain just followed suit trusting the judgment of his friend. He also talks about how he ended up in the first batch of FPM in IIMA.
