Back in Jan 2015, my dad told be about a park in Lincoln where you could run every week. I was 13 and had way too much energy so there we were, one Saturday morning for our first ever parkrun. Since then, my dad has been taking me to parkrun - thank you dad. Jump to Saturday’s parkrun and I was celebrating my 250th parkrun where it all started for me. My family and friends came to cheer me on which made the run perfect, in memory of my dad, who would have been there if he could. It was a cold, windy day, with lots of people jumping around to stay warm while the briefing was being delivered. Then it was a 3, 2, 1, go. It was a beautiful morning, the rain staying away and everyone had a great run. Before you know it you’re huffing and puffing through the finish line after completing another parkrun. We had tourists from: Clumber Park Sheffield St Neots Norwich Catterick Brisbane, Australia Calgary, Canada Silistra, Bulgaria Well done to the 376 people who took part today: 48 PBs (well down to them) 13 parkrun first timers A further congratulations to those who ran a milestone: Celia D = 250 club Cameron C = 100 club Natalia W = 50 club Maria G = 50 club Richard M = 25 club Suzanne C = 25 club Vince M = 25 club Taylor B = Junior 10 club Finally, I want to say thank you to Craig our RD today, all the Lincoln RD’s and everyone who Volunteered today.
