Faux Pixie Updo

It's Sunday Funday! And what's more fun than a faux pixie? The full video of this is on my YouTube channel    / sarahbryant   🎥 (link in bio). Things you'll need: 🔹styling iron or curler- we used the 10x iron from @bioionicla and I cannot say enough how awesome it is 🔹texture spray- we used dry texture spray from @oribe it has been my fav for years and smells amazing 🔹bobby pins (the color of your own hair, I used blonde ones on Melisa so you can see them, but you want them to blend in) 🔹 volumizer- we used PuffMe by @designmehair to give her bangs some volume and grip 🔹 hairspray- for finishing touches to hold everything together. We used Masterpiece by @bedheadbytigi First things first, curl the bottom of your hair, leaving the crown clipped away. Once the bottom is curled, spray it with a texture spray to give it some grip and gather into a low pony, then twist into a french twist and secure with bobbies (I place one at the top of her head and the base to secure it). Next up we sprayed some #puffme into her crown hair and separated her bangs from the rest of the hair on her crown and pinned it up. We created a mini pompadour with the bangs we left out and purposely angled the pompadour to one side to create a bang effect with a part on the side. Once all of the big pieces are secured, continue securing the ends by pinning them up. Easiest way to pin is to just let the hair curl in the same shape we formed it into with the iron. Once your happy with the final formation, hair spray that baby into place! 😎 big thanks to @melisa.sweet for being my hair model in this video and letting me use her as a guinea pig for the last couple decades 😜
