Following the success of "Top 20 Career Mode Tips," I'm back with 10 more insights to make your MSFS 2024 experience even smoother. These hacks include lessons learned, refinements from the last video, and practical demonstrations. Whether it’s handling taildraggers or figuring out sim-rate tricks, these tips are designed to save you time and credits in Career Mode. Please add your comments and suggestions so we can learn from each other—that is the ethos of The Flying Doctor. Your insights might solve a problem others (or I!) are facing. Below, you’ll also find clarifications and corrections based on community feedback. Let’s grow together as virtual pilots! Apologies - the audio is not the best - I am still trying to refine this on my system. Corrections and Clarifications - in relation to ten point below 2. Altittudes Flights in some missions will expect you to climb to 10,000ft (eg Skydive), and some altitudes will be requested (worryingly in metres reather than feet), but in some transport missions and cargo missions, the alttitudes other than initial take off or apprroach are unclear - even with IFR flights. Altitudes are conspicuous in their absence. (FD) 7. Autopilot didengagement - Thanks to fredimachadonet Trick to fix autopilot swinging the plane up and down on high sim rates during cruise: 1. set alt to 300 ft or so more than current altitude, 2. enable VS with 0 (zero) FPM. Done! Works very well on prop planes. Timestamps: 0:00 Intro 1:25 1 Summary of the 10 New Tips 4:50 - 1. Taildraggers Didn’t Work – Stick to what you know. 6:30 - 2.. Full Description: In this follow-up to my previous 20 tips, we’re diving deeper into some of the challenges and opportunities within MSFS 2024 Career Mode. This video highlights 10 additional tips and hacks, ranging from practical mission strategies to finer points of aircraft management. Here’s what’s covered: Taildraggers like the DHC-2 may frustrate you, but sticking to familiar planes like the Skyhawk or Kodiak can save headaches. Using tools like Little Navmap or SimBrief to confirm your flight path altitude can help you avoid smashing into mountains when MSFS routes you poorly. Taxiing with Sim Rate increased may speed up your ground time, but it’s not without risk. Pair this with a dedicated camera view to monitor taxi speed quickly and easily. The ATC communications dialogue box can bypass certain mission steps, giving you flexibility when MSFS glitches or instructions don’t work. Sim Rate isn’t just for speeding through missions—slow it down for tight landings or tricky weather. Be cautious, though, as high Sim Rates under challenging conditions can disengage autopilot. Fast Travel is a great way to explore new mission areas and unlock opportunities quickly. Insurance deductions happen daily, so keep an eye on your credits to avoid surprises. Skydiving missions might look lucrative, but are they worth the effort? Let me know your thoughts in the comments! Some of these points may already resonate, or you might have solutions to challenges I’m still figuring out. Either way, your feedback and comments are always welcome.
