Who's the real Charlie Chaplin? A question people all around the globe have asked themselves since Chaplin went from being a street child in the victorian London to being the most famous and extraordinary filmmaker und actor of all time - a person who never seemed to let anybody sneak a peak under his artistic facade. THE REAL CHARLIE CHAPLIN directed by James Spinney and Peter Middleton unfolds insights into the complex life of the man behind the little tramp comedian in an innovative and multifarious way. The two directors confront each other with our questions picked out of a bowl about their documentary - face to face. The «Zurich Film Festival» brings together filmmakers, directors, the film industry and the audience in Zurich. In addition to national and international films, a variety of movies from this year’s guest country Italy are shown in the section «New World View». Film screenings in the presence of filmmakers or the public «ZFF Masters» let the audience be closer to the stars as well as young filmmakers. Under the direction of Eric Andreae, Nadia Holdener, Nico Lypitkas, Caroline Feder, Nina Rothenberger and Raffael Thielmann, the students in the 3rd and 5th semester create audiovisual content for «ZFF Daily». They use their knowledge in animation, editing, filming and social media acquired during their studies.
