KS0 Pro OC mod tutorial Materials: 230W Laptop Charging Brick https://amzn.to/489bjw4 For fans, you can either get a reputable brand like AC infinty: https://amzn.to/47Zca27 Or something cheaper, like these: https://amzn.to/3OukrnI 6*6*5mm copper heatsinks https://amzn.to/3HJLqIf Thermal Glue https://amzn.to/3OrKFr4 Arctic MX-6 (4g tube with cleaning wipes: https://amzn.to/3Opv0Zi or 8g tube by itself: https://amzn.to/3OxnefZ ) Arctic TP-3 1.5mm Thermal Pads (4 per KS0) https://amzn.to/42lBu1b You will want to either print yourself, have printed, or purchase a fan shroud from a manufacturer. Here is the STL file for the fan shroud I used: https://www.mediafire.com/file/0g1xcg... Here is the link to the manufacturer selling kits for Kaspa ASIC miners: https://fruitiondesignsllc.com/produc... If 6x6x5mm copper heatsinks are available, larger ones will work. Just make sure they are at least 5mm tall. So 7x7x5 ( https://amzn.to/3SopFEa ) or 9x9x5 ( https://amzn.to/3w2whPP ) will work just as well. In my example I've used 9x9x5mm copper heatsinks. You will want to remove both thin side panels, where the power and ethernet connections are, and keep them removed. This is to promote airflow. *You need to blow air into the side with the power connection on it, NOT blow into the side that has the Ethernet connection* Please note that I, nor anyone else, is responsible for any damage that may be caused doing this, and is all done under your own risk. Unplug everything first! To begin, we will remove the thin side plate, which are held on by 4 screws, one in each corner. I suggest saving the screws and plates in a ziploc bag or similar, as we will not be reinstalling them. Next, we will remove the perimeter screws from the bottom plate. Be careful when lifting the bottom plate, as the fans are connected to the board. Carefully set it aside. You do not need to unplug the fans, just be mindful of the wires. We will now see the bottom of the main PCB. In the center are the MOSFETs which we will be applying thermal glue and copper heatsinks to, pictured here: Let's first flip the board over, and clean up the hash chips. We will need to reapply thermal paste to them, as IceRiver's stock thermal goo isn't the best. Use isopropyl alcohol and q-tips or the included cleaning wipes to remove all of the stock paste. Apply a small dab to the center of each chip, and gently place back into the frame. Now, for the MOSFETs. You will not need a lot of glue. There is an applicator included, use it. I see a lot of people applying a "Verge" amount of thermal glue, and that's just unnecessary. Just enough to cover the chip, then gently place the heatsink upon it. Press lightly and align before glue sets. I recommend giving it at least an hour before returning to mining. You should now have something along these lines: Now, take a picture of the copper heatsinks, with the MAC address sticker visible, as this is what is needed to purchase the 340GH OC from tswift. Now we reinstall the bottom plate, again being mindful of the fans and their wires. We can now add our axial fans and fan shroud. USB FANS WILL NOT BE POWERFUL ENOUGH. THIS IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. *You need to blow air into the side with the power connection on it, NOT blow into the side that has the Ethernet connection* It is highly recommended to get the IceRiver Monitor tool from the official tswift mining telegram channel, linked below. You can contact tswift through their official telegram channel here: https://t.me/swift_mining I am not in any affiliated with IceRiver or tswift / swift mining. *__May your temps be low and your hashrates high!__* Donations are welcome: kaspa:qqaufwma7z2zr80vv4k0cjwewsglesxnn435a7cac8x3ul8ltvge7lskf37ks
