In today's video I take a look at the newly released VooPoo Drag 2 Refresh Edition and the Drag 2 Mini Refresh Edition. These both contain the new Gene chip and apart from the 'normal' version takes 2 x 18650 batteries and the mini has a built in 4400 mah one. Other than that they are the same although the mini is obviously smaller. Both kits contain the same PNP tank, two coils, charge cable, instructions I take a look at the mini version as it was to hand. I didn't use the tank that was in the box as I have already done a review of the PNP tank that comes with it. The design of these two Drags is pretty much the same as the other versions, the main difference in these is the inclusion of the PNP tank in the kits and then new Gene chip offering more advanced options. The build quality is great, feels nice and solid in the hand although a bit boxy, the front panel has the lovely soft feel resin swirly effect on it. I would have liked to see the same pattern on the reverse too. Removable panels could have been an option for personalization but then there's plenty of colours to choose from. There's the usual up and down buttons + / - as well as the fire button and a micro usb charge port on the front and what looks like a stainless 510 connector. I tried in in wattage mode and temp mode both worked well. Temp mode with stainless produced an uber smooth vape. Unfortunately that's where I get a bit confused. The menu is far too complicated for a starter kit. I'm saying it's a starter kit since it comes with the starter tank. I think the menu is just too much info for any starter vaper to set out on. Unless you're one of these that are really 'into' gadgets and menus you may be a bit confused. It's generous alright with the options but it would be nice to be able to put it in beginner mode to start off i.e. on/off and up/down and once they are onboard and wanting to learn turn on the menu. As it is it's a bit confusing... for me anyway. If you're used to the previous versions then I don't think you'll have many problems as it's more or less the same All in all it's a good device although perhaps people with a few months under their belts to get the most of the menu.
